Steeking is a commonly used technique used to finish colorwork projects. If the thought of taking a pair of scissors to a freshly knit sweater makes you nervous, then these steeked wrist warmers are the project for you! Please keep in mind, this is not a colorwork class. Students should be comfortable with color work or color striping and knitting in the round. Pre-class Homework: Please have both wrist warmers cast on (cast on 45 stitches, knit four rows) prior to class. Cast on rows may be left on the needles or waste yarn.
Materials: Amazonium Steeked Pulse Warmer pattern by Mandy Powers (available on Ravelry and at Yarn Harbor), two colors of dk or sport weight, non-superwash wool (approx. 145 yards per color), US 3 16” circular knitting needle and a US B crochet hook.
