Hats are a great way to tackle colorwork for the first time, and these hats are so fun! Knit from the bottom up, A Family of Hats is a great introduction to stranded colorwork and reading a simple chart. There are three patterns to choose from, and three skeins of DK weight yarn should yield three hats. Materials: Pattern: A Family of Hats by Anne Mizoguchi, DK weight yarn (three different colors), 16” US 4 circular needle or dpns for brim, 16” US 6 circular needle or dpns for body (dpns or longer circular for crown decreases), stitch markers, and a tapestry needle.
