Colorwork Yoke Sweater: Tin Can Knits

Yarn Harbor

Have you wanted to knit yourself a sweater, but you’ve been too intimidated? Or you’ve tried knitting a sweater and just didn’t love the outcome? In this class, we will learn basic sweater construction techniques as well as how to do stranded colorwork. You choose which sweater you’d like to make: North Shore, Spotlight, Dog Star, or Tenderheart. All  sweaters are offered up in sizes from 6 months to adult 4XL. Please bring the following items to the first night of class: a favorite well-fitting sweater (handknit or store bought), a gauge swatch in stockinette stitch with a garter stitch edge (4”x4”)* and a tape measure. Materials: North Shore or Spotlight pattern by tincanknits (available at Yarn Harbor or on Ravelry), DK or worsted weight yarn for your desired sweater and size, appropriately sized needles for your gauge, stitch markers, and a darning needle. *see website for swatch info: http://www.wikihow.com/Measure-Knit-Gauge
