Crocheted Koala (In-Person Class)

Lets make a koala together! We will tackle pattern reading, increasing and decreasing stitches, crocheting in a spiral, and seaming your finished pieces. This toy is an "Amigurumi". Amigurumi is a Japanese style of crocheting quick, quirky crocheted toys and dolls in the round, like this koala! 

Please make sure you are already very comfortable with making a chain and the single crochet stitch before joining this class. This simplified class is a great next step for those who are ready to move beyond crocheting rectangles and on to crocheting shapes in the round. This would be an excellent first toy project.

Length: 1 x 2 hour class

Materials: 

Yarn: 50g of worsted weight yarn, as well as small amounts of yarn for embroidering facial features.

Hook: Size G / 4mm or smaller if you crochet loosely

Accessories: Darning needle, locking or split ring stitch marker
