Pub Knits: Mosaic and Lace Shawl

We’ve swapped the classroom for the pub! Why not enjoy a cocktail, or two, while expanding your knitting skills? This cozy triangular shawl combines lovely graphic mosaic knitting, garter stitch and a beautiful lace pattern that echoes the diamond mosaic motif. It is worked in fingering weight yarn in two colors. Big color blocks, bold mosaic diamonds and elegant lace create a fascinating interplay of color & texture in this eye-catching item! The two-color diamond motif is created with the mosaic knitting technique, which is easy to knit as it uses slipped stitches and only one color at a time. Skills required for this class: the ability to read and follow a knitting pattern, ability to knit, purl, yarn over and slip stitches (Experience with making a basic shawl is perfect!).

Materials: Laurelie pattern by Lisa Hannes, 2 100g skeins of fingering weight yarn in contrasting colors, US 4 and US 5 32” circular needles, stitch markers and a tapestry needle.
