Trusty Toe Up Socks with Meta

Toe Up is my favorite way to knit socks. Try them on as you go and finish both exactly the same. With a couple of fun techniques at the heel and toe, the rest is relaxing knitting. Sock projects are small enough to carry with you everywhere. At the end they are a customized gift for yourself or, well, anyone. And the fingering weight yarn at Yarn Harbor is to die for.
You will learn Judy’s Magic Cast On, Magic Loop, and Afterthought or Short Row Heel.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner or Intermediate. You can knit and purl with confidence.
You’ll need:
Pattern: Trusty Toe Up Socks by Tanis Fiber Arts: Free on Ravelry
Yarn: 320 (360, 420) yards fingering/sock weight. The amounts indicated are for sizes Adult S (M, L)
Needles: 40” U.S. Size 1 circular needles, or size to obtain gauge 32 sts; 46 rounds = 4”
Plus: Tapestry needle, 25 yards waste yarn in contrasting color, measuring tape or ruler, scissors, crochet hook
