Charitable Knitting & Crochet
KID’S CLOSET reports that they are really in need of mittens and scarves, especially for little boys.
They can be knitted, crocheted, or fleece. If you have any to share, just leave them with us at the front desk.
As you know, Yarn Harbor is a drop-off spot for FLOCK and for Kid’s Closet. Any garments you bring in will be distributed to those in need. You may also donate full or partial skeins of yarn, fabric, needles, etc. that other crafty hands can turn into useful items.
Thanks for the help! Your work is much appreciated by those in need!

FREE SPINNING DEMO!
Sharon Knutson gives a free spinning demonstration from 10:30am to 3:30pm on Saturday, August 4th. Sharon is the creator of our gorgeuos new handspun yarns from Blaine, MN. Her label is "Knitting My Way Home". Drop in and see her spin her beautiful yarns! The colors and varieties are great! |

June 18-30: We'll have items from the book, "Knitting Scandinavian Slippers and Socks" by Laura Farson.
April: "Baby Things" from Cottage Creations. We love the Cottage Creations patterns! With Spring, we thought we would focus on the babies. Come and see the adorable sweaters and blankets from Carol Anderson (and note her special classes on April 14th!)
July: A magnificent display of colorwork Kauni sweaters hand knit by our own Tuesday knitters. See what Kauni can do for your colorwork creations!
August 6-20: See the character in the knitting "Mochimochi" book by Anna Hrachover. Super cute strange designs for knitting amigurumi.
September: We'll inspire you to get ready for the fall with a collection of sweaters and accessories using Peace Fleece yarns! We now carry Peace Fleece in worsted and DK weights.
Pajama Parties
Come hang out with us! Bring your project, a snack, and a friend to knit, crochet or spin. We'll visit from store-closing-time until 10:00 pm. It's fun! You don't even need to come in pajamas - your regular clothes will do just fine!

DESIGN OF THE MONTH CLUB
We’re keeping it LOCAL! Each month in 2012 we’ll feature a pattern for a beautiful accessory (think hat, scarf, mittens, bag, etc.) designed by one of our talented folk from the Northland!
Join us and receive a 15% discount off of your materials for the month when you bring in your finished project from the previous month. It’s fun, and by the end of the year you’ll have a great collection of accessories to keep or give.
