Visit Our Brick-and-Mortar Yarn Shop in Duluth

Yarn Harbor is a locally owned, independent yarn store in Duluth, Minnesota, located in the Lakeside neighborhood just a few blocks from Lake Superior. Our brick-and-mortar shop has been part of Duluth’s fiber community since 1999, and we love welcoming local makers as well as knitters and crocheters visiting the North Shore and Lake Superior.

Our knowledgeable staff is always happy to help—whether you have a question about a project already on your needles or need help choosing yarn and supplies for something new. We want Yarn Harbor to be a place where you can come in, look around, get inspired, ask questions, and enjoy being part of the fiber community.

What You’ll Find at Yarn Harbor

Our shelves are filled with yarn for knitting and crochet, including wool, merino, alpaca blends, cotton, linen, silk and mohair blends, along with hand-dyed yarn, Minnesota dyers, and yarns from around the world. We carry yarn in weights from lace and fingering through super bulky.

You’ll also find knitting needles, crochet hooks, interchangeable needle sets, notions, buttons, project bags, books and patterns, spinning fiber, felting supplies, weaving looms and supplies, blocking tools, kits, and gifts for fiber lovers.

Parking & Accessibility

Street parking is available in front of Yarn Harbor on Superior Street, with additional parking behind the building.

Our rear entrance brings you into the classroom, followed by a half flight of stairs down into the shop. For an accessible entrance with no stairs, please use our front entrance on Superior Street.
