String Theory: Know Your Yarn (In-Person Class)

This class teaches you about the very basic physics of yarn with a yarn tasting! If you've ever wondered why a yarn isn't what you expected once knit up, or picked the wrong yarn for a project before, this is the class for you. Learn valuable information about how twist, fiber content, and other important factors that impact your finished projects. Find out how to determine variables like warmth, durability, drape and more in advance of making an entire project based on evaluating the yarn alone.

We will learn the basics of yarn construction and get the most out of a yarn spinner's knowledge, without needing to learn how to spin from scratch. This class is great for knitters, crocheters, and weavers alike!

Class price includes a $15 Yarn Tasting fee

Class Length: 1 x 2 hour session

Class Materials: Please bring a size sz 7/4.5mm knitting needle (straight or circular) or crochet hook
