You can never have too many mittens in our turbulent Duluth winter! Using Minnesota-designer Theresa Gaffey’s popular pattern, you’ll learn how to use double point needles (DPNs). In sizes from a child’s 2 to an adult XL, you can knit a pair (or two) for everyone in your family. You should be familiar with knitting, purling, and decreasing (Knitting 101). Materials: Theresa Gaffey Designs Warm Woolly Mittens pattern #51 (available at Yarn Harbor), worsted weight yarn for your desired size, US 5 and 7 DPNs, small stitch holder or waste yarn, and a tapestry needle.
