Description: 

Have you ever wanted to create your own knitting pattern? Are you interested in colorwork and design? Do you have a treasure trove of scrap yarn and partial skeins just sitting in your stash–collecting dust? If so, this workshop is for you! 

In this workshop, we will use The Doodle Knit Directory by Jamie Lomax or the Doodle Deck by Pacific Knit Co to create a one-of-a-kind cowl. Choose from 100’s of motifs to customize your design and make a unique accessory specially made for you. 

Come to the first class with a copy of The Doodle Knit Directory or the Doodle Deck(s) of your choice and be ready to design your own pattern. We will create and troubleshoot your design, choose the right yarn and needles for your project, and discuss all the options available for creating your own patterns. 

If you choose to buy your yarn after the first class, I will be available to help you pick yarn and choose colors for your project. All supplies purchased for a class at Yarn Harbor are eligible for a 10% discount in store or online. 

Supplies: 

  • Worsted weight yarn in at least 3 colors (approximately 400 yards total)
