Rustic Style Ohio Star Buttons

These unique quilt buttons are made by stamping raw stoneware clay with a hand-carved stamp. The stamped portion is then filled with colored glaze, wiped clean, and the background clear-coated to display the pretty flecks in the clay. Softly rounded edges and a glossy surface give these buttons a nice feel in the hand while the handmade imperfections lend a simple and rustic charm.
